In light of the rise in confirmed cases of individuals suffering from COVID-19, Dr. Fahey has asked all students in the Rome program to remain in the city of Rome. Dr. Connell has made further adjustments to the Art and Architecture course. Mr. Assaf has been instructed to ensure the Rome campus is supplied with the necessary resources for at least two weeks of disruption. There are very few cases of COVID-19 in central or southern Rome. The College, however, would like to take every reasonable measure for the safety of its students and the continuance of the Rome program. A seven-person committee with faculty and staff from Rome and Merrimack, NH is being formed to evaluate the situation.
On 29 February, the Thomas More College Rome campus was visited by an American pathologist and an American bacteriologist, who gave the TMC campus and procedures a positive assessment.
