Thomas More College of Liberal Arts is proud to announce that Kevin D. Roberts, PhD, President of the Heritage Foundation, will deliver the Commencement Address at this year’s Commencement exercises. The College will also grant him an honorary doctorate.

Dr. Roberts has served as President of the Heritage Foundation since October 2021 and jointly as President of Heritage Action for America since September 2023. Previously, he was Chief Executive Officer of the Texas Public Policy Foundation, a nonprofit, nonpartisan think tank. Dr. Roberts’ professional experience also includes founding the John Paul the Great Academy in Lafayette, LA and having served as the second president of Wyoming Catholic College.
“Dr. Roberts is a leader in conservative politics whose life’s work echoes many of the qualities of our patron, St. Thomas More,” remarked Executive Vice President Paul Jackson. “He has dedicated his life to education, and now, as President of the Heritage Foundation, he is a leading voice in the world of politics. Dr. Roberts’ example is a testimony to the need for faithful Catholic voices in our public life.”
“The Heritage Foundation is the nation’s premier conservative think tank. It is the most broadly supported think tank in the world, drawing support from more than 500,000 members. Heritage’s policy impact is also unrivaled, with the University of Pennsylvania’s annual report on think tanks recognizing Heritage three years in a row as the think tank with the most significant impact on public policy” (Heritage Foundation).
The graduation ceremonies will be preceded by the College Baccalaureate Mass, which will be celebrated this year by Fr. Jeremy Paulin, OMV, Director of the St. Francis Chapel in the heart of Boston’s financial district. Fr. Paulin graduated from Thomas More College in 1987.
