Anton Kaska is a Professional Outdoorsman, Master Trapper, and Master Scuba Diver who actively combines his passion for fieldwork with public education and applied technology. A former soldier and combat veteran, he has refined his survival and wilderness skills across environments ranging from the Arabian Gulf in summer to the alpine winters of Europe.
Anton is deeply committed to restoring the practical outdoor knowledge once common among our forefathers—skills that foster self-reliance, clarity under stress, and reverence for the created world. He currently traps full-time throughout southern New Hampshire and leads educational programs for both youth and adults. His instruction in tracking, wilderness survival, and outdoor literacy often supports homeschooling groups, churches, and civic organizations. He also teaches the historical context of trapping and its continuing role in ethical, conservation-based wildlife management.
A graduate of Trappers College, operated by the Fur Takers of America in partnership with Purdue University, Anton formerly served for many years as a volunteer trapping instructor for the State of New Hampshire, personally certifying over 600 new trappers. He is also a former Hunter Education Instructor.
Alongside his fieldwork, Anton works at the intersection of traditional skills and modern technology—applying tools from artificial intelligence and digital systems to enhance outdoor safety, field documentation, and conservation education. His goal is to ensure that modern innovations serve—not replace—time-tested practices.
His work and voice have been featured on the Discovery Channel, NPR, and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Anton lives in Manchester, New Hampshire, with his wife Magdalena and their two children.
