Why study the Great Books? That’s a question worth considering for prospective students (and parents) who are interested in pursuing a liberal arts education.
Dr. Michael Dominic Taylor, Teaching Fellow and Dean of Students, and Liam Beecher ’25 recently spoke to Our Sunday Visitor about their views on the Great Books. They also touch on why it’s so important to study these works in a community like the one at Thomas More College. “If you authentically desire wisdom,” says Dr. Taylor, “you will humbly surround yourself with friends who share this desire and who allow themselves to be guided by it.”
