Thomas More College of Liberal Arts is proud to announce that Dominic Cassella ’18 has been appointed president of the TMC Alumni Association.
During his time at Thomas More College, Mr. Cassella founded the Debate Club, the Milk Street Society, and the Beer Brewing Club. His senior thesis investigated Aristotle’s understanding of simple bodies and unity. Mr. Cassella earned his master’s in theology at the Byzantine Catholic Seminary of Saints Cyril and Methodius while supporting the College, the TMC Press, and the Center for the Restoration of Christian Culture as the Director of Student and Strategic Initiatives. He is now a doctoral student at the Catholic University of America and the founder and Executive Director of Theosis Academy, a website dedicated to Catholic-Orthodox education and ecumenical dialogue. Mr. Cassella is married to Carley (née Novotny) ’15, and they live with their children in Fairfax, VA.
“It is an honor to serve as president of the TMC Alumni Association,” Mr. Cassella stated. “Thomas More College is dear to my heart. Not only did I meet my wife on campus, but it was at TMC that I was gifted with foundational habits of learning and thought, which have gone on to shape how I live my life and raise my family. I can safely say that there is no place that compares with Thomas More College and its community of learners, and as president of the Alumni Association, it is my hope that we can work together to ensure that others can receive the amazing gift of a TMC education for generations to come.”
